An arrest warrant has been issued for Fast & Furious star Tyrese Gibson, whose neighbor in Georgia accused his four dogs of mauling his Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, say police.
On Sept. 18, police received a 911 call from Harrison Parker, who lives across the street from the actor's Buckhead mansion. Parker said doorbell camera footage captured the dogs just after the attack, WSB-TV 2, 11Alive.com and Fox5 Atlanta report.
Parker said he let his dog in his yard, which had an invisible fence. He allegedly found the dog dead shortly after from an animal attack, police said, WSB-TV 2 reports.
Parker's 5-year-old dog, Henry, suffered internal bleeding and puncture wounds, court documents allege, WSB-TV 2 reports.
“I found my dog dead in my driveway,” Parker said, WSB-TV 2 reports. “Not hearing him around, it’s just awful. He was one of the sweetest dogs and to have him get murdered is, it’s indescribable.”
Police executed a search warrant for the singer and actor, who appears in the long-running Fast & Furious franchise as Roman Pearce, and his dogs on Sept. 22, but he was not home, Fox5 reports.
After the attack, the actor allegedly said he would surrender his dogs to Animal Services, but when authorities went to his home on Sept. 22 to execute a search warrant, he was gone, court documents say, 11 Alive reports.
Authorities allege that Gibson's Cane Corso dogs attacked the much smaller spaniel, Fox5 reports.
The dogs were allegedly running loose in the neighborhood, 11 Alive reports.
“It is the negligence on his part as the homeowner and animal owner, just letting them roam free,” Capt. Nicole Dwyer with Fulton County Police Animal Services said. “And now they have killed an innocent animal.”
